War Is Not Over; Even If You Want It

Obama's mind is set on a "surge" of 30,000 American troops to chase Taliban and Al Quaeda over the mountains of Afghanistan. Though he ran on a platform of peace, Obama focused his rhetoric on Iraq. The previous Administration's ridiculously poor record on Iraq made criticism very easy. Also easy was avoidance of the subject of military expansion which upon closer review, Obama whole-heartedly supports.

This will come as a shock to many Obamaniacs who believe the sun rises and sets on the man. Apparently, he has already convinced his worshippers of this martial necessity. It would serve us well to examine past wars on the terrain of Afghanistan. The land is extremely rugged. The constant jumping across the border by the enemy is sure to anger Pakistan who is a nuclear power....
