The Humiliation of Economic Manipulation

"There is something to be learned from a rainstorm.  When meeting with a sudden shower, you try not to get wet and run quickly along the road.  But doing such thing s as passing under eaves of houses, you still get wet.  When you are resolved from the beginning, you will not be perplexed, though you still get the same soaking.  This understanding extends to everything."

- from Ghost Dog:  The Way of the Samurai

Everywhere a person looks these days the established order is spitting in the faces of the people.  Most of the masses are still in a drug-induced slumber, still bantering about the latest fad, whose popularity relies not on quality, but upon brainwashing and coercion.  The working class, both in America and around the world, are so downtrodden and hopeless that the money masters, political henchmen, military officials, or any other "authority" figures cannot seem to get the people to react to anything.  Therefore, on daily basis the corporate media henchmen lash out at the truth and rational thought, hoping for a response.  This reaction is desperately needed by the powerful whose grip on humanity is failing miserably.

There has been no shortage of whoppers this week, as the media steadily bombards people with bullshit lie after bullshit lie.  Over the weekend, banks in the small island of Cyprus shut their doors and announced they would be confiscating up to 10% of all accounts.  Rumors have swirled, and though the banks only stole 10%, the original plan called for 40% of all deposits to be seized.

Despite the well-known fact that the Iraq War was based on lies, war, as an industry, shows no sign of abating.  New World Order administration unabashedly tell bold-faced lies, knowing people know they are full of shit.  The Al Quaeda brigands that are wrecking Syria poisoned 25 people and tried to blame the chemical attack on Syria's existing government.  It is hard to recall a time when the evil forces causing so much havoc sounded more absurd.  Of course there has been lie after lie time after time, but now the obviousness of their agenda is fully exposed.  More and more people are realizing their money may be at stake, also, and the millions of rounds of ammunition purchased by Department of Homeland Security is earmarked for massive upheaval.

Even at the local level, authorities, using their mainstream propaganda organs want to disrupt, annoy, disillusion, and spread discontent.  This could be why an alderman in Chicago has proposed tearing down Wrigley Field's iconic manually-operated scoreboard in favor of a jumbo-tron found in almost every other professional stadium.

By sparking debate about what is better, or more nostalgic, as authorities use the more than $300 million to create a new stadium, the system is able to defend itself from real attack.  The distraction of professional sports and the manipulation of emotions surrounding recreation keeps people from discovering the true path to freedom.  People will argue about the idea, get upset, or maybe even elated if the organization decides to keep the scoreboard.  Either way, the powers-that-be would have succeeded in distracting a swath of people from issues they should truly be concerned about.

As far as The National Pulse is concerned, while everyone in the newsroom loves the pastoral game of baseball, even it is not worth preserving if it means humanity should be in chains.  Even as all the stadiums become newer, the television contracts more lucrative, people will continue to suffer because of the circus' attraction.
