The Tower of Babel, painting by Pieter Bruegel the Elder |
"Let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach up to heaven; and let us make us a name lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the earth."
-Genesis 11:4
This week the city of Naperville, Illinois announced it will hold a mural dedication sometime in November. In the downtown area, on the wall of Russell's Dry Cleaners a 12 foot by 18 foot painted mural honoring Freemasonry will be unveiled. The lodge, located across the street, will have a good view of the tri-piece painting which "will depict George Washington and the American flag on one side, with Joseph Naper and the lodge building at 34 Jefferson Avenue. On the other sides, Masonic symbolism will include a black and white squared carpet with tessellated border plus a square and compass. An eye with the letter 'G' representing God and the sun's rays is the worldwide symbol of freemasonry."

Grand PooBah of the Naperville Masons, Neville Diamond, explained that not many people know how many famous people have been Masons. That was probably due to the fact most of Freemason activity is done in secret. For Diamond, this has all changed. "We are not secret anymore. Masons are advertised in every town in the U.S. and around the world. You always know what time they meet and where. There is no secret about the symbols we use either. We are a fraternal organization. It’s not about networking, it’s about fellowship. We’re happy to show our lodge building to visitors and are extremely proud of it."
"Secrecy, once accepted, becomes an addiction."
-Edward Teller (Scientist, 1908-2003)
Other accounts paint a completely different picture of Freemasonry. Critics claim that while outside appearances depict Freemasonry as a brotherhood of man, there exists extensive links with the occult and Satanism.
The biblical figure Nimrod is said to be the first Freemason. Nimrod oversaw the building of the Tower of Babel. Nimrod is said to have discouraged the belief in God and rather encouraged his followers to believe that the courage within themselves procured their own happiness. Allegedly the first to wear a crown as ruler, Nimrod preferred a tyrannical government rather than fear of Divine retribution to convince his subjects to follow his direction.

Freemasonry started as an organization similar to modern-day trade union. It morphed from literally working with stones and mortar to building a brotherhood of man. Freemasonry is a sort of umbrella for all religions, respecting all beliefs. The most popular definition of the secret society "is a unique system of morality, veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols (see more here and here)."
The National Pulse hates to break the news to Naperville PooBah Neville Diamond, but masonic murals, sculptures, and symbols are all over the place. At their corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina, Bank of America has creepy murals filled with masonic imagery. Warren Buffett just bailed Bank of America out for $5 billion. Does Warren wear an apron? No one knows, if because he did, he is a mason. Probably because it's a secret.
The Denver Airport, I.R.S Headquarters, and the entire city/state of Washington D.C. are heavy with masonic symbolism. The entertainment industry is full of masonic tributes and it is obvious to casual viewers that Masons are an influential influence at the very top of the corporate pyramid. "I am as innocent regarding any conspiracy as any of you in the room."
-Jack Ruby (Club Owner, Assassin, 1911-1967)
Are their intentions evil? Considering current events and how decisions promote prosperity and freedom, a secret society pulling strings with malintent is certainly not outside the bounds of reality. The U.S. Constitution has been trampled. There now exists a "Super Congress" of oligarchs to force the will of the few on the people. NATO has been carpet bombing Libya with no Congressional approval. People are being evicted from their home by authorities who have no documentation. And when these problems go to the courts, the game is rigged for the establishment to continue its relentless pursuit of one-world government (see here and here).
Here is what President John F. Kennedy thought about those shadowy organizations intent on imposing their will on the people:
